NorthSouth Studios has become known for an innovative approach to construction and creative original concepts in design for all projects. Maximizing the use of space, paying particular attention to lighting and details, and incorporating contemporary design elements and modern technology, all while maintaining the architectural integrity of the original structure is essential.
Our Background
NorthSouth Studios, LLC is a design/build company established in 2001 by husband and wife team, Elyse Ostland and Marshall Howell. We offer complete design and construction services in a wide range of styles from traditional to modern for residential or commercial projects with current accounts spanning the east coast. Whether you are looking for an all inclusive design/build company or would prefer to break out the design services or construction services separately, NorthSouth Studios, LLC can accommodate you.
After nearly 35 years in the field, we have had the opportunity to work in many areas of concentration. Past work includes projects in commercial and residential interiors, residential design, architecture, historic restoration and theme park planning. Our knowledge of architectural history and its relevance to design has earned us museum projects and work in the field of residential and commercial restoration.
Our Experience
Ms. Ostland holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design and an Interior Architecture Diploma from the New York School of Interior Design where she won the Yale R. Burge and the Hans Krieks awards. While working as a team member at previous firms, Ms. Ostland was also a past recipient of the AIA National Honor Award for Interior Architecture, the Excellence in Design award from the Florida Contractors and Builders Association, First Place from the American Society of Landscape Architects and a First Place Award from the National Symposium on Healthcare Design, among many others…
Mr. Howell has studied and implemented the art of construction for over 20 years and has had the opportunity to build many residential and commercial projects throughout the state of Florida. His particular attention to detail, and his ability to envision the design concepts has enabled us to create unique environments that have brought us accolades from our clients and others in the industry.
We are licensed interior designers, residential designers, and licensed building contractors in the state of Florida. We are members of the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Association of Home Builders.
